Guidance Counselor Triin

Your Partner in Managing Work Stress and Burnout

About me

Hi, I’m Triin – a guidance counselor dedicated to supporting people facing burnout, work-related stress, and challenges with work-life balance.

Burnout and stress affect mental health, performance, and overall well-being, both at work and beyond. You’re not alone and don’t have to go through it alone.

My own experience with burnout and the struggle to find balance has shaped who I am and how I work. I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're caught in stress, exhaustion, and pressure – and I also know that healing and clarity are possible. These experiences inspired me to help others find their way back to well-being.

I offer solution-focused counseling grounded in empathy, active listening, and practical tools. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly seen and heard – and where we can work together toward meaningful change.

In May 2024, I completed an intensive guidance counselor training at Loovruum OÜ. To complement my counseling work, I also earned a micro degree in Work Environment Quality Management from Tallinn University of Technology, where I gained deeper insight into workplace psychology, health promotion, and managing psychosocial risks.

In November 2023, I became certified in Mental Health First Aid through Peaasi, equipping me to better support people facing mental health challenges.

In 2024, I completed a two-month internship at the Tallinn Mental Health Center, where I worked directly with clients navigating burnout and emotional tension related to work. This hands-on experience helped shape my grounded, compassionate approach to counseling.

What is guidance counseling?

Guidance counseling is emotional, social, and practical support provided by someone who has personally experienced a similar challenge or life situation. A guidance counselor offers empathy, hope, and guidance based on both their lived experience and formal training.

Guidance counseling can help you build confidence in your coping abilities, access and use available support systems, and regain balance and inner stability.

You might seek guidance counseling when you're facing challenges like:

✔ Burnout or work-related stress
✔ Difficulty setting boundaries
✔ Emotional exhaustion or feeling stuck
✔ Navigating recovery or major life changes
✔ Feeling isolated or misunderstood

A guidance counselor is not a therapist, but a psychosocial support provider — or an early-stage mental health support provider — who has completed accredited training and supervised practice. They draw on their personal recovery journey to support others, offering genuine understanding and helping reduce feelings of isolation.

When to choose Guidance Counseling?

If you're feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or struggling with burnout, guidance counseling offers timely, compassionate support — like mental health first aid. It helps you regain clarity, strength, and direction before things escalate.

Grounded in lived experience and empathy, guidance counseling:
✔ Builds a safe, respectful, and equal relationship
✔ Focuses on your strengths and recovery
✔ Helps you feel heard, understood, and supported

Choose guidance counseling when you want to:
✔ Manage ongoing work-related stress
✔ Prevent or recover from burnout
✔ Rebuild inner balance and resilience

You don’t have to go through it alone.

"Thanks to Triin’s professional and supportive approach, I was able to overcome work-related anxiety and see new growth opportunities in my career. The practical exercises offered during counseling helped me recognize the signs of burnout and let go of perfectionism at work. Triin was sincere and consistent in her guidance—I felt that I could trust her and that she truly understood my concerns, as we share a similar professional background. I am very grateful for her help and compassionate approach!"

- Woman, 30

"Triin’s non-judgmental, warm, supportive, yet professional presence allowed me to leave the outside world behind and created a safe space to share and face my experience. Often, confronting our own struggles can feel overwhelming, making it easy to get lost in our thoughts. Triin guided me out of that state with thoughtful questions, always respecting my perspective and ensuring my voice was heard. She helped me see many of my worst-case scenarios in a new, much brighter light."
